Work in Progress
An ongoing project has allowed us to re-visit elements of the influential teaching of Edouard Lanteri and to re-evaluate his teaching methods and materials. Some techniques and approaches used when working from the cast have been either forgotten or lost, this project would allow time to consider, evaluate, re-establish and update ways of looking and recording. New technologies of 3D digital scanning have expanded the remit and provided new ways of seeing the cast and interacting with it in new and diverse ways.
Digital scanning of the Fine Arts Departments Edouard Lanteri’s, Anatomical Study of 1902 is underway with the help of Dr Lyuba Alboul and her colleagues from Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) Sheffield Hallam University.
