The exhibition was opened by Lord Bruce, eldest son of the Earl of Elgin. Also in attendance was Richard Demarco, who had organised Joseph Beuys' landmark performance piece Celtic Kinlock Rannock - Scottish Symphony (1970) in the same space as Cast Contemporaries.
